A Special 60th Wedding Anniversary

It would have been your 60th and what a celebration
that would have been!
But yet I know you're happiest where you are and I imagine both of you holding hands
and looking down on us as we carry on with your memory in our hearts forever.

No words can ever describe
How beautiful you were,
No paintbrush can capture
Your precious smile...
Yet you are forever in our hearts
For you have shown us how to love,
And we ask you, dears Mum and Dad,
To send us your blessings from above.

Shells of the Sea

Shells of the sea
All unique, one of a kind,
Shells from an ocean
I've always loved to find,
Shells in wet sand,
Shells on the shore,
One shell on my palm
Makes me long for more...
The Master's masterpiece:
Golden treasures from the sea,
Each one so beautiful,
A Jewel to me!

I wrote the above poem after looking at my sister Sue's Weekend Shadows pictures on her blog
which inspired me and brought back memories of my
childhood days looking for seashells together by the seashore. Thanks sis!
